Jackson Geary
Jackson Geary is dedicated to filmmaking and has been since he was a child. In the film, he creatively addresses social issues in historical context. College goals are to major in digital arts or film production and to minor in history or political science.
Jackson studied at Coronado High School of the Arts in the Digital Arts Film program and completed a month-long State Summer Arts Program on a California Arts Scholar Award. Other achievements include a School Certificate of Excellence for filmmaking, receiving the Best Picture Award twice, recipient of the Best Documentary Award at school arts events, and the viewing of one of his films in the San Diego Museum of Art’s 2019 Exhibit on Young Artists.
While in high school Jackson has helped other youngsters as a math tutor and camp counselor. His community involvement has included serving as a poll worker in the recent national primary elections and being a press volunteer covering the Coronado Island Film Festival for the past four years. Currently, Jackson Geary is a video intern for the Coronado Times Newspaper.
