Kayla Lincoln graduated from Scripps Ranch High School, where she participated in several performance activities. Besides playing trumpet in the school Marching Band and cheering at sports events on the Cheerleading Team, Kayla was an active member of the school’s Thespian Honors Society. Her performance as The Witch in the musical, “Big Fish,”, was awarded ‘Best Supporting Female Role.’ She also played Miss Scarlet in her school’s production, “Clue: On Stage.” She worked backstage in Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” designing costumes. Kayla’s high school experiences solidified her desire to pursue higher education in theater arts. She will attend California State University, Long Beach, majoring in Theater Arts with an emphasis in acting. She plans to engage in coursework that challenges her to explore a variety of theatrical styles and techniques. In particular, Kayla intends to delve into the art of character development as she aims to bring authenticity and depth to her performances. She wants to cultivate empathy and understanding, as she strives to inhabit the experiences and perspectives of characters from various parts of society. Her goal is to be a well-respected and highly regarded actor, committed to actively engaging with local and global communities through her work in front of audiences. Kayla also hopes to influence young actors to creatively explore their talents and pursue a career in acting that can make a positive impact on society.
