Kennedy Harris
Kennedy Harris is a very passionate artist who is compelled to act. She loves the process of preparing for an acting role, the performance itself, and the effect her work has on others. Her goals are to major in theater, develop an acting career, and give back to the community by opening a youth acting academy.
San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts is where Kennedy studied in high school. She has spent a great deal of time on stage and her acting achievements include a role in a San Diego Repertory production and six roles in school theater productions. As a dancer, she is co-captain of her hip-hop dance team and has been featured in a school dance show. Offstage, at her high school, Kennedy has been captain of her volleyball team, an officer in two leadership programs, an officer in student government, the founder of a College Club where students research and discuss colleges, and the founder and president of the Black Student Union.
Awards include recipient of San Diego Urban League’s Golden Pyramid Award for seven years, Academic Honor Roll for six years, and a school acting Award of Honorary Distinction. Kennedy’s
community service has included work with the homeless, beach clean-up, and volunteering at the Ronald McDonald Children’s hospital.
